Wound Care Certification WCC

• Candidates are required to submit an application one month before the exam date
• Candidates can download application forms and exam handbook from the NAWC website
• NAWC reviews applications and sends a notice of confirmation and eligibility and a unique authorization code number to successful candidates
• Confirmation and eligibility notice are sent with 2-3 weeks and candidates who were disqualified have an option to send a written appeal letter within 30 days
• Application forms may differ based on the eligibility pathway qualified for. See handbook for more information
• Completed application forms along with relevant documents and application fee should be mailed to the National Alliance of Wound Care, 5464 N. Port Washington Road #134, Glendale, WI 53217

• The non-refundable application processing fee which must be sent along with the application forms is $30.00
• The examination fee for the WCC examination is $300
Re-certification or re-examination fee is also $300.

• The Wound Care certification examination is available in both computer based and paper pencil exam format
• The exam is made up of 110 questions set a multiple choice format
• The total time allotted for the exam is 2 hours

• Computer based examinations can be applied for and taken year round
• The computer based exams are conducted at various LaserGrade/PSI Computer Testing centers across the United States
• The paper and pencil exams are held at various centers but have a scheduled exam date depending on the state
