Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant CRNFA
The Association of perioperative Registered Nurses AORN handles the Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant program. The exam is administered on behalf of AORN by the Competency and Credentialing Institute (CCI)
 Registration
- To register, candidates can download the application forms from the CCI website
- Completed forms along with necessary documents can be scanned and e-mailed to info@cc-institute.org

- The CRNFA can written once within a four month window and there are three exam windows per year.
 Eligibility
- Candidates must hold a bachelors degree from any field
- Candidates must have a valid nursing license
- Candidates must have acquired a minimum of 2000 working experience as a nurse first assistant
- Candidates must have completed any CCI approved nurse first assistant program
 Exam Fees
To register for the CRNFA exam, AORN members will pay $425, while non-members will pay $550
 Exam Format
- The CRFNA exam is made up of 150 multiple-choice questions
- The exam is 3 hours
- The CRNFA certification is valid for 5 years
